Every day we witness situations of poverty, exclusion, injustice. We often feel powerless against inequalities and discriminations, and we forget that we have the power to make a difference.

MISS BRIGHTSIDE Association was born as an antidote to apathy. We have the ability, as individuals or together as community, to make this difference. With a simple gesture, we can change lives.

Human beings and their natural needs are at the center of MISS BRIGHTSIDE’s actions. We contribute to the UNITED NATIONS Sustainable Development Goals, with small and focused gestures that create real change and improvements for the ones who need it most. We are all citizens of one planet.

HOW DONATIONS WORK

1

donate 1%* of your total production budget

* Donations start at 1%

Most companies donate between 10% and 25%.
Some go all the way to 50%.

The more you donate, the more you can deduct from taxes.
And the more we can help — read more under step 5.

2

CHOOSE THE project YOU WANT TO SUPPORT

We can help you make a decision based on current state of projects and which ones need the most support at the time of your donation.

We only work with local people we know and trust, so your donation is 100% traceable.

3

YOUR DONATION IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE

In Portugal, donations are considered deductible expenses for the respective year at 140%, up to a limit of 8/1000 of the volume of sales or services provided.

2 - in terms of VAT: donations made by patrons subject to VAT are exempt, with the right to deduct VAT incurred on the respective acquisition/production (point a) of paragraph 10 of article 15 and point b) IV of paragraph 1 of article 20 of the VAT Code;

3 -  in terms of IRS: cash donations can be deducted from the IRS collection in an amount corresponding to 25% of the amount allocated, up to the limit of 15% of the collection - paragraph a) of no. 3 of article 62 and subparagraph b) of no. 1 of article 63 of the EBF.
